IS AMERICAN MEDICINE WORKING?
At 14% of the Gross National Product, healthcare spending reached $1.6 trillion in 2003. Considering this enormous expenditure, we should have the best medicine in the world. We should be reversing disease, preventing disease, and doing minimal harm. However, careful and objective review shows the opposite.
